What should we be aware of?

Welcome to the Little Footprints Preschool

It is a privilege to be a part of your child’s education and care so that you can continue with your work without worries.

The application form must be completed and signed by the parent(s) or guardian(s). Please take note of the agreement that you must sign. There is a deposit of R950 payable to ensure that we keep your child’s place. The deposit will be deducted from the first month’s fee but is not refundable when you do not bring your child or when you take your child out of the school.

Change of particulars

You must inform us of any changes to personal particulars, address, telephone numbers or medical aid as soon as possible. It is very important that we should be able to contact you in case of an emergency.
Half day with lunch (07h00 - 13:00)
Full day (07h00 – 17h30)
An Educational programme will be followed during school terms from 08h30 – 12h00.
NO medication will be given at Little Footprints!
You are requested to please make alternative arrangements for when your child is sick. Children with a very high fever or infectious illness, is not allowed at school. We want to prevent the spreading of the disease to other children and the staff.
When your child returns to school after an illness, he/she must please bring a medical certificate to proof to us that he/she is not infectious anymore. Children can come back to school if they did not have any fever for 24 hours. The same goes for babies and toddlers with gastro.
A child on antibiotics, may only come back to school after the antibiotics is completed!
If your child gets sick during the day and/or develop a fever, or is seriously injured, we will inform you as parents so that you can come and fetch him/her and take them to a doctor. It is therefore very important that we have your current contact information on our files. If we cannot reach you, we will contact the doctor on your application form. If the situation is very dangerous, we will take your child to Paarl Medic Clinic.
Breakfast is served from 8h00.
You are responsible to pack a snack for 10h00 and 14h30.
Lunch is served from 12h00. (baby classes may differ)

Children are not allowed to bring their own toys or any sweets to school, only if we plan a special day, it causes unnecessary fights. We won’t accept any responsibility for lost or broken toys.
The drop off and pick up point is the main entrance on Main Road or at the back of the school at the gate in the parking area. Due to the Covid-19 protocols, we are only using the entrances at the back of the baby school.
If anybody else should come and pick up your child, please inform the school. We will not send your child home with a stranger if you did not arrange it before the time.
It will be appreciated if you will let us know if your child is absent. An additional cost of R30 for every 10 minutes after 13h00 and 17h30 will be charged if you pick up your child late.
We are closed on public holidays and certain school holidays before or after a public holiday. In December/January the school will be closed from middle December until the second week in January. The specific dates will be given each year.
A mattress sheet and a blanket for sleeping in the afternoons. We provide a mattress.
Matress size: 1 190 X 570 mm
Every classroom has a daily programme and may vary according to the children’s needs.
